But I can't say this enough: PLEASE document everything you do in closing your account(s) with BOA and make sure to get a letter in writing saying you owe nothing more to them and your account(s) is/are closed. I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. Thanks again to Susan!

At the moment, BOA is ranked 121 out of 309 of the banks listed. However, only the first 179 banks have actually been reviewed... the rest are at the bottom because they haven't been reviewed. BOA has been reviewed 537 times with an overall rating of 2 out of 5. After BOA, every bank listed is some small bank you probably haven't heard of, reviewed by at most a handful of people. So the conclusion: BOA is by far the worst major bank.
